Graphic Designer

Job description

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating content for our various clients and brands as well as the agency‘s own channels and showcases and reels. The role also involves understanding strategic plans and working within timelines, visiting the clients’ premises and taking video and photo shoots as well as performing day-to-day design work within the creative department.

The goal of this position is to translate communication strategies or content plans into innovative and impressive creative outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design content for social media, brand identities, logos, and key visuals.
  • Develop unique ideas and concepts based on requirements and respond to briefs with effective campaign ideas.
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas in a timely manner.
  • Create moodboards for projects
  • Collaborate with copywriters, the creative director, and account managers to produce final designs and ensure alignment with briefs.
  • Report to senior designers and the creative director.
  • Amend designs based on feedback to ensure correct delivery and adherence to briefs.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
  • Deeply engage with clients' brands by conducting comprehensive research.
  • Stay informed on market dynamics, creative solutions, and the latest trends in advertising and social media, recommending new techniques based on analysis.
  • Meet deadlines and achieve project timelines.
  • Communicate visual designs, concepts, and storyboards through presentations to secure client approval.
  • Handle campaign and pitch delivery through ideation and development.
  • Take work from concept to final execution and develop storyboards and film ideas for campaign proposals.
  • Create digital communication materials and social media content.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets to record all work.
  • Attend client events to represent the agency and gather insights.
  • Work on the production of photoshoots, creating production briefs and coordinating logistics.

Technical Skills

  • Work on Adobe software (mainly, Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, After Effects, premiere)
  • Print, animation and web design
  • Monitor own work / campaign’s / content’s and their performance and draw learnings (in tandem with digital exec)
  • An understanding of social media namely Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok and Snapchat
