Job Role: Business Development Manager (Freight and Forwarding)

Job Location: Dubai, U.A.E.

Position Summary:


We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our client's team in the Freight and Forwarding industry in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities, while strengthening relationships with existing clients. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.



  1. Identify and target potential clients in the UAE market, with a specific focus on the freight and forwarding industry.
  2. Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers in the industry.
  4. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential opportunities for growth.
  5. Collaborate with the operations team to design and propose tailored logistics solutions that meet clients' needs.
  6. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  7. Actively participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads.
  8. Monitor and analyze market and competitor activities, providing regular reports and insights to the management team.
  9. Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and technological advancements to identify potential business opportunities.
  10. Maintain a comprehensive database of clients, prospects, and sales activities, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting.
  11. Continuously strive to achieve personal and team targets, while contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.


  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles within the freight and forwarding industry in the UAE.
  3. In-depth knowledge of the UAE market, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  4. Strong network of contacts within the freight and forwarding industry, including potential clients and industry influencers.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients.
  6. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and propose innovative solutions.
  8. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools for tracking and reporting purposes.
  9. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
  10. Valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel as required.
