Job Summary:

Position Overview: 

As a Relationship Manager at a sports and events management company, your primary responsibility would be to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure client satisfaction. To succeed in this role, one should be an excellent communicator, able to work with sales and marketing teams and build rapport with customers. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills. Your job description may include the following key responsibilities:

Responsibilities: 

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by proactively engaging with potential clients and partners. Conduct market research, identify target clients, and develop strategies to expand the company's client base and revenue streams. 
  • Account Management: Manage client accounts and contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are met and client expectations are exceeded. Collaborate with internal teams, such as event planning, marketing, and operations, to ensure the successful execution of projects and events. 
  • Sponsorship and Partnership Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with sponsors and partners. Identify potential sponsorship opportunities, negotiate contracts, and ensure fulfillment of sponsorship deliverables. Collaborate with sponsors and partners to develop mutually beneficial marketing and promotional initiatives. 
  • Client Retention: Develop strategies and initiatives to enhance client loyalty and retention. Regularly assess client satisfaction levels, gather feedback, and implement measures to improve client experience and address any concerns or issues. 
  • Event Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the event planning team to understand client event objectives and requirements. Provide input and recommendations to ensure successful event execution, including logistics, venue selection, entertainment, and branding. 
  • Financial Management: Work closely with the finance department to manage client budgets, track expenses, and ensure accurate billing and invoicing. Monitor financial performance against targets and contribute to financial forecasting and reporting. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services to clients. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. 
  • Industry Networking: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and events to network with potential clients, partners, and industry professionals. Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and best practices. 
  • CRM and Reporting: Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to maintain accurate client records, track interactions, and generate reports on client activities, revenue, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates and reports to management on client relationships and business development efforts.   • Requirements and skills 
  1. Proven experience as a Relationship Manager

  9. BSc/BA in Business Administration or similar field
