Key Result Area:

  • Digital strategy design and management for retail and wholesale business
  • Execution of digital initiatives and innovations with in-house competencies and strategic alliances with vendor and FinTechs.
  • Agile project management and delivery within Budget and Timelines
  • Benefit Realization of digital strategy (based on Project success parameters defined)
  • Number of new initiatives undertaken
  • Cost saving realized from digital transformation. Efficiency and capability improvement realized though digital adoption
  • Improvement in digital adoption indices for the bank
  • % of all project milestones adhered to (across all projects)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading and driving the digital vision and strategy of the bank among all stakeholders across business, support and control functions. Role holder will be tasked with efficiency and customer experience improvement through identification of digital integration opportunities, proof of concept to build business case, cost benefit analysis and formulation of delivery plan. Role holder will act as a custodian for bank’s strategy on digital way of work.

Responsibilities:

Drive and build on Digital Banking Experience

  • Articulate the value of “Digital” and integrate into the business operating model from the perspective of sales revenue, cost savings, and customer experiences
  • Support the Head of Strategy and Transformation and other business leaders in leading the bank as the market leader and key advocate of industry digital development related to payment and banking in Oman
  • Provide inputs on digital revenue landscape and opportunities in local and international market
  • Digital channel management with focus on developing custom channel strategy, based on need of target customer segment, channel advantages and limitation etc.
  • Maintain an understanding of external competitive digital developments and their impact on AIB’s business and innovation strategy
  • Establish customer experience projects priorities and recommend appropriate process and workflow improvement required to successfully execute them
  • Lead the development of technology related solutions, based on business case and proof of concept with clears call out of project success parameters and timelines
  • Develop strong models for project planning, feasibility assessment, estimation and procurement and periodically review the same
  • Present business proposals to the Board and Management regarding technology and practices to be used in projects and ensure sourcing of high-quality technology at competitive prices
  • Periodically review project planning and execution models based on global trends of technology and cost-benefit realization, in consultation with the Head Strategy & Transformation
  • Play a key role in building strategic alliance and business partners for customer acquisitions and cross selling of products
  • Regularly conduct market scan to understand the in trend digital practices and facilitate the adoption of best practices in AIB’s offerings
  • Custodian of bank’s Return on Investment on digital practices with a strong focus on maximization opportunities and realization.

Operational

  • Oversee finalization of individual project-wise plans and monitor implementation to ensure efficient execution across projects within scope, adherence to timelines and management of delays with consultation of stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data science or any other related business field. 
  • Additional master’s degree or PGD in project management or computer science will be preferred.

Experience:

At least 10 years of experience industry with 6-8 years in transformation projects.

Certification/Mandatory Licenses

  • Additional certifications in digital strategy, Project management, customers experience are preferable.
