Job Role: Sales Manager (NVOCC)

Job Location: Dubai, U.A.E.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. The sales manager works in coordinating operations, delivering a proper service to customers and optimizing the financial results of services assigned.
  2. Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects
  3. Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales targets and profitability
  4. Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
  5. Follow up with the agents for the booking, preparing schedules, circulating schedule to customers and to agents
  6. Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
  7. Provides monthly Sales Report to General Manager regarding sales performance
  8. Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives
  9. Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  10. Maintains contact with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  11. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
  12. Handles customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
  13. Provides guidance and support to the logistics team on a daily basis
  14. Training and development of the operations team including performance evaluations

Sales Manager Requirements:

  1. More than 7 years sales experience of which three to 5 years in a sales management capacity in an NVOCC/ freight forwarding environment
  2. Degree / Diploma in Business Administration or Sales & Marketing
  3. Excellent interpersonal abilities with great networking skills
  4. Good computer skills (shipping software, related logistics/ shipping/ marine certification, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  5. Analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills when under pressure and with tight work deadlines
  6. Able to effectively manage and communicate with a diverse and multicultural team. Commercial flair and ability to develop new business
  7. Strong leadership, management and motivational abilities
  8. Experience in international environment an advantage
  9. Service-oriented, resilient, hands-on personality
  10. Strong Communication Skills
  11. Independent work style but team player
  12. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
