Job Role: Operations Supervisor (Freight Forwarding)

Job Location: Dubai, U.A.E.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain a strong and efficient flow of communication processes with customers, suppliers, and team members ensuring customer commitments are met.
2. Oversee the best freight forwarding process of goods through air/sea / land
3. Prioritize projects and requests, evaluate and set stakeholder expectations
4. Maintain and update SOPs
5. Focus on cost controls without compromising on safety, quality, and delivery
6. Participate in acquiring new business deals (key accounts), by providing the required information to build the right proposal
7. Own the relationship with key suppliers. Identify and build relations with key Agents
8. Negotiate contracts and optimize operations network
9. Cooperate with operations in other units
10. Set up a business plan for the operation's team; create and monitor KPIs against targets
11. Ensure proper staffing, utilization, and management of the team
12. Train and mentor staff for action and conformance to norms and practices
13. Manage the effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery service provided to our customer
14. Prepare and present productivity, performance, and analysis with recommendations
15. Provide weekly reports directly to the MD
16. Ensure optimal utilization of the operational systems
17. Propose and implement activities that increase workflow and efficiency and reduce waste in time and resources
18. Excellent in communication.
