Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and abilities required
Advanced analysis, design and development skills, with ability to apply to business requirements and applications/system designs to create and maintain software solutions.
Knowledge, experience, ability to develop applications and execute code reviews, for multiple technologies including: Oracle Forms and Reports, SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers and Functions using PL/SQL & TOAD.
Knowledge and understanding of data modeling and enterprise data standards.
Ability to independently design and develop code.
Ability to tune large complex queries in an Oracle environment.
Ability to understand and rapidly troubleshoot technical, design and coding issues.
Understanding of non-functional requirements, including accuracy, availability, maintainability, security, scalability and performance.
Prepare requirements/design documentation, create technical design, code and conduct advanced testing for approved and prioritized support related changes.
Provide timely, consistent and comprehensive application support to business areas.
Writing ad-hoc queries for various reporting requirements.
Strong experience writing DDL, DML, and complex queries in Oracle SQL.
Experience with ETL tools is a plus.
Experience with Oracle Databases 11g/12c.
Experience with Oracle Developer tools (Forms Builder, Report Builder).
Troubleshooting application related technical issues and errors.
Engaging Oracle Support to research and resolve issues.
General knowledge of network, PC operating systems, network hardware, protocols and standards.
University degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
Certification in Oracle Developer
Certification in Oracle Database
Minimum three (3) years of work experience in General and Life insurance/UAE experience required.
Minimum Seven (7) years of work experience in oracle application development and database.
Proficiency with Oracle Developer, Toad and other software development tools.
